Hi all, Bristol City fan in peace!


We've signed Korey Smith from Oldham, who I have to say I don't know much about. I knew of him as a player but literally haven't a clue how good he is. He comes as a "highly rated" player and was also Oldham's captain last year so something must be there! I read on wiki he played a part in your promotions from league 1 and then the championship so I'm hoping you can shed some light on what sort of player we are getting here. We're hoping for a return back to the championship this season and it's looking good at the moment! Anyway good luck to you for the upcoming season <ok>

Promising youngster but Lambert didn`t think he could make the step up.... Reminds me of Reo Coker when he was good and i hope he takes you up next season .
Never heard a bad word against him from any Canary fans.
 
Think he'll be good for you, was integral to our league 1 team and in the first half of the championship promotion team until he got an injury at christmas time and he never got his place back as loan players came in. Never given a shot in the premiership but don't think he's of that level.

Will work hard wherever he is asked to play, remember him playing right back a few times for us before we signed russel martin. I'd be surprised if he didn't become a regular player in your midfield!
 
Great lad. It was a shame we went from league 1 to the prem so fast otherwise I think he would have gotten a lot of game time for us. A really good all-rounder.
 
Great league 1 midfielder with a good engine. For me he lacked any real skill to push on to the next level which is why Lambert let him go. But as I say, a great player for league 1.
 
Thanks guys <ok> We've just released a player like Smith called Marvin Elliott, was getting on a bit and couldn't really last a full season anymore, only 28 but my god he put his body on the line for this club. Sounds like we've just signed a younger version of Elliott and if he can be anything like Marvin was in the 07/08 season then we've got one hell of a player!
