So did I but he does still give away silly fouls <laugh>

Edit: I realize that's going to happen as a DM

Lucas tends to give away fouls in positions that don't hurt us though like halfway inside our own half.
That's partly his job. I'd rather him give away little free kicks in that position than get beat and have the midfield running at our back 4.

You wont find a DM that doesn't give away fouls in the modern game, it's impossible.

Like IBWT said the main thing is he doesn't give them away in silly positions, and on the whole Lucas doesn't.

Always felt it would be a good signing as long as we also brought in another defender. I've never been Skrtel's biggest fan and I'm even less in favour of him under BR's style of play

sell Skrtel to help fund the Papa or Sakho move, i know wishful thinking, but not sure i am that bothered if he plays now any more.

he does seem the most pointless defender we have now with Wisdom and Kelly as options there as well, Coates at least has time on his side.

if he is on good wages he may be on the hit list, or one of the names in the brown envelopes.

Toure is a very good signing but unless we are going to let WIsdom or Kelly cover the centre back position then we need to sign another CB.

I was another who didnt think that the signing of Kolo would set the world alight, but if he plays like he did yesterday for the rest of his time here its a bloomin bargain...!!!

We just need that 2nd goal to make us believe we can progress further up the league than finishing 6th n 7th for the past ones. The fact we went a bit into our shell near the end was simply down to the scoreline than Stoke putting us through it...

It will do for starters, bring on the Villa, it should be a good game...<cheers>

Compared to Mascreano he is the cleanest player around.

  10. We currently have six CBs in the first team squad; Agger, Toure, Wisdon, Kelly, Skrtel and Coates (in that order)

I reckon Wilshere will be the one who spends his career at Arsenal and never wins the league.

But if we get top 4 - £30m offer.

Kelly is injury prone and hasn't been deployed as a CB in years. Coates is out of favour and has looked shaky every time he is played, as has Skrtel in this system. Wisdom fair enough but the only time he's played as a CB for the first team has been this pre-season, and he struggled. Quality not quantity.

    No chance...

more like £15mil, injury prone (like most players whilst at Arsenal) and we have players like Ford that make him look very average <ok>
