Agree, having Ned/Rio/Caulker as a back 3 would be very strong. Add the Iceman to that and we would be starting to look like a decent squad
Yep. I actually think that if those two sign, we could have a good starting line up with no further signings. Although, I realise that we need a few more to strengthen the squad.
don't you think if they were going to sign they would've by now? they don't want to come to us. move on to players who do.
I certainly hope they do. The iceman I know nothing about but the reports are good, Caulker is a promising young centre half. It will certainly give me some hope that we are going to have a right good go a his season and that's all any of us want.
Ajax striker Sigthorsson's agent denies QPR talks http://www.goal.com/en/news/article?contentId=4983495 Does seem to have gone quiet but either Harry or the agent not being truthful.
I know nothing about the workings of signing footballers but to me this sounds like a dead deal. Move on to the next target.
This is an exact rerun of the George-Paul N'hotstepper fiasco back in Jan who turned out to be Swiss Tonys fitness instructer
I Don’t Think Kolbeinn Sigthorsson Is Going To QPR – Ajax Striker’s Brother Read more at http://www.insidefutbol.com/2014/08...-strikers-brother/153392/#aWC0FvIfD2Dy3usW.99 Monday, 4th August, 2014 Kolbeinn Sigthorsson's brother, who also acts as his agent, does not believe the Ajax striker will be heading to join Premier League side QPR. Sigthorsson has been strongly linked with heading to Loftus Road, with speculation that QPR have been moving closer to meeting Ajax's asking price for the Icelandic international. But Andri Sigthorsson, who also acts as his brother's agent, cannot see a switch to QPR materialising. "The discussions in the media about Kolbeinn's future are completely wrong. I don't think he'll play for Queens Park Rangers", Andri told Ajax Showtime. "We have now not spoken for six to seven weeks and there is absolutely no connection between QPR and us." "I'm sure Harry Redknapp [QPR manager] will attract a good striker, but I do not think it will be my brother."
All this "we haven't spoken to Redknapp in weeks stuff" is amusing really. Presumably the convention is that you're not supposed to approach the player until you've agreed a fee with his club?
if he doesnt come means he wasnt good enough anyway. Our board know whats good for us. They maybe saw he was the new johnson so didnt want a crock
His brother and agent says thus deal has been off for 2 weeks and is completely off. It actually sounds like he wanted too much in his contract and we said no.
The deal might still happen: http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-move-closer-to-sigthorsson-signing? I'd be ok with getting him and Kane but we're going to break the FFP rules again!!
I'm not certain but I thought the FFP rules are only applicable in the football league and if a team gets into Europe.
