Watched the Ajax game at the weekend & he came on for the last 10 minutes, did absolutely nothing! I accept that you can't judge him on that though, so here's hoping

So.... If this one actually happens does it mean that Remy's passing is closer
or do we need yet another striker if he goes, I'm thinking yes

His agent (his brother) is saying the reports are all wrong and nothing is sorted, so I guess it's as you were.

To be honest, his agent sounds like a horrible piece of work. Stay clear imo. If he really wanted to join us it would have been done by now. Move on to other targets.

Who knows? Thor Stigofthedumpsson may not be the greatest but he has been playing for Ajax for several years, which usually means basic quality assured.

I bet he can pass a ball to within 5 yards of the intended recipient .... something lacking at LR recently.

I think that his agent said this a few days ago. Lots can happen in a couple of days.

Seems we're back in again for this fellow.

    http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2015...-kolbeinn-sigthorsson-wants-to-leave-ajax-sh/

QPR have long been linked with a move for Kolbeinn Sigthorsson.

    View image | gettyimages.com

The most recent link that suggested the R’s were planning a move for the Icelandic international came in the January transfer window, with SoccerNews claiming they had made a bid for him.

No move came about despite that reported bid, and the West London club saw themselves relegated from the Premier League at the end of the season.

Top scorer Charlie Austin looks likely to leave Loftus Road, with a host of Premier League teams interested in signing him, and although QPR have started strenghtening ahead of the new campaign, they need to bring in a new consistent goalscoring striker to aid their potential return to the top flight.

Sigthorsson could be this player, and a new report in SoccerNews has claimed that he is expecting to leave Ajax this summer, and could push through a transfer.

This begs the question of whether QPR should go back in to sign a player they clearly are very keen on.

If the club can tempt the 25-year-old to the Championship, they would be signing a player with a real goalscoring talent, who would surely excel in that division.

He has proven himself in the Eredivisie, as well as at international level - with 17 goals in 29 Iceland games - and has experience of playing in the Champions League and Europa League.

Coming from Dutch football, his financial demands will surely not be excessive, and signing him would be a real statement of intent from QPR - as they look to prove their promotion credentials.

The R’s need to secure an immediate return back to the top flight to ensure their financial future is not disrupted, and with a player of Sigthorsson’s quality in their ranks, it is hard to see them struggling in the search for promotion.

Would Sigthorsson be a good signing for QPR?
