Very kind of you. I am still lurking although I never get to games these days and don't feel qualified to comment on what's going on. Playing a lot of pool these days, last week Chris Melling former World No. 1 who did an exhibition at my friend's place.
Nice to know you’re lurking - love a game of pool , not very good though , my local got rid of the pool table when it was refurbed a few years back , and done away with bar stools when covid hit - still your local is your local and glad I’ve got it
I have a table in my pub and two teams in the Eastbourne league. It's a good way of getting out from time to time.
Yeah we had the same - landlord would lay on food , it was a great evening ( good excuse for a piss up )
I did a quick G@@gle of 'Charlton for Life' but unsurprisingly I just got a few dozen pages from CL. I assume the new forum is a Pro-boards one, same forum host as ITTV (they have all been so far). Any more info Elfs? I'm naturally a bit curious...
I found a facebok link but it wouldn't work. Never mind. I guess if we were wanted on there an invitation would have been posted here. Perhaps one will appear in the fullness of time. One observation though; In my view any Charlton Athletic fans' forum should be welcoming all Charlton fans. Regardless of any other factor or filter. Being Charlton fans is what unites us. What brings us together. It's what matters more than anything else. If some Charlton fans are not welcome on a new forum for whatever reason, then that forum should not claim to be a Charlton Athletic fans' forum. As it would be selecting who is welcome primarily by another yardstick.
I do find this sort of thing rather odd. I liked both of them and cannot understand why this toy throwing is necessary. As a global moderator once said nobody is bigger than a forum except me.
