Now this may or may not have come from an ex-player close to the club but...

Many, if not nearly all, of the dearly "departed" were on the radar to leave. Now the word is there was, or still is a plan to bring in 7 (better) players. Any of the old guard that showed ANY sign of not being committed were to leave. So there is the likelihood ifs couple of more "big" departures.

So the only question is, the transfer money received is a bit of a bonus but are we now in need or 3 additional players from the original plan? If so, then it's going to be tricky in the time frame left to transfer closing day (not start of the season).

Think we can forget the first month of the season, but personally I think it exciting - The King is dead, long live The King!

I find it hard to think that koeman came here knowing we were going to lose this many players. Someone over on saintsweb said that he has heard that koeman is re thinking his position. Thoughts

He said when he came that he knew some players were leaving...not sure how many he thought that was. I can't see him leaving if players he was promised are bought. He wanted to be in the PL...are there any better jobs out there at the moment? He can't lose...if he succeeds, he will get the kudos; if he fails, everyone will blame the board/owner. He will stay if he has been treated honestly.

Koeman is the only light on our horizon.
