Whilst we talking tv and stuff on here, has anyone gone with Sky Q ? Is it any good, is it worth the £56 a month without sports and films?
I've got it, great bit of kit!! Your basic package gets you to in two rooms but you can pay for extra boxes, great thing about it no cables all run on Wifi.

If you have Sky HD you used to be able to watch a Sky film way after it started, but this stopped due to box problems. With Q, you can watch a film right from the start even if it's been going for a while.

Nice feature as well is you can down load the Q app to a tablet etc and you can then down load any film to it. This is great for going away, film normally stays active on the tablet for I think 14 days, but once you start watching it goes after two days. Great if your going away.

When I changed over I was asking about 4K, this might happen this year for the sports channel, so I hope to watch the Swans in 4K soon!! :)

I know some of you are waxing a bit about the various Star Trek incarnations, when it first started in 196? it was certainly something that was innovative and fresh. For me the best one is Babylon 5, but that`s just my opinion.

Roof I am hopeless when it comes to Tech and I have one of these Kodi box things. Couldnt get anything for ages and to be fair the guys on here (particularly 5) and since it seems to have better days than others, but get to watch most swans away games and films coming out of my ears. it is worth a go.

Can anyone tel me is this amazon stick any good, want to put a Tv in a room where there is no aerial point and wanted to try the stick, is it worth it.

I have an Amazon fire stick and I'm very pleased with it. Only cost me £20 from Amazon directly and works great. If you're new to kodi it's ideal because it's quite simple to install and navigation using wookie is easy even my 6 year old can work it.

You can download a mobile app that controls or as well.

It's recommended to download wookie lite as it's designed for devices like the Amazon fire stick.

I've got good instructions on how to install of you or anyone wants help I can provide a easy step by step guide.

A good way to have a mess around with Kodi is to download it on your PC, it's almost exactly the same as on a box, you can learn before spending money as Kodi is free and most builds and addons are free. If you don't fancy it then you haven't lost any money.

Wow most of this has gone straight over my head, but I'm home in a few weeks (first time in 3 years I get 3pm kick offs!) and will probably be looking to invest. Just wondering though, with it showing away games and all series' and everything, is there any chance this Kodi thing can get shut down? Wouldn't want to buy one then not be able to do sod all with it.

Kodi won't be shut down as its like a platform, so for example Windows XP is not supported anymore but if you have a computer with it, it will still work. People will always build apps for Kodi , some will go others will take its place. Besides £30-£60 is hardly going to bust the bank ;)

Kodi is relatively simple and easy to install and you can get it on loads of devices.

Pc/mac
Android smart phones
Streaming devices (Google Chrome excluded)
Android box

As jager said in a previous post you can download it on your pc/mac laptop and connect via hdmi cable for free. (If you already have these) If you ever need assistance i'm more than happy to help and share step by step guides. Also there's no need to pay extra for pre loaded Kodi devices (eBay) as you can install it within 15 mins yourself) and save a few bob.

Might give it a go, I'm. Well into preacher at the moment, it's on amazon prime. Marco polo on Netflix is worth a watch also.
