Kamui Kobayashi has fast become my second favourite driver after Kubica. He has got bags of potential and has loads of talent. Get him in one of the top teams and he will be a WDC one day.

Kobi seems to be a safe bet within the top 10 these days. That may not sound much but the Sauber isn't exactly cutting edge. Perez is also doing a fine job so this some what masks what Kobi is doing. Hopefully he can work he way up the grid in the next few years.

he tops my favourite driver list ATM, love his driving, love his attitude, none more so than when he went out of qualifying with mechanical problems in instanbul, there he was with a wry smile, and when interviewed a few minutes later laughed about it. Finished the weekend beating his team-mate and getting in the points despite starting at the back.

Presumably I must be the only person who thinks that Kobayashi is a bit reckless and needs to hone his racecraft a bit then?

how many accidents has he caused? possibly one is qualifying yesterday, and possibly one other, though I've been rebuked for suggesting the accident was his fault as it was more a racing incident. I think he's aggressive, but also shows a restraint that 'he who will not be mentioned for fear of a ****storm' lacks. If anything I think he gives away places now and again to easily.

In qualifying as much as Jenson to go and improve, but he's had bad luck in qualifying this year, traffic and all. But the Sauber isn't very strong on qualifying trim compared to it's race trim. Skill on race pace though IMO, is only a bit off Lewis. Most of his overtakes are clean and only once in a while will he make major contact, bumper car style.

Also with a puncture from 24th but getting to 10th in the end with no safety car at Turkey you have to admit is pritty impressive.
