JDub Saint you can bid us good day if you wish but the scaffold is being erected and the axe is being sharpened.

Don't you know Lizzie is a Saints fan? We have lots of evidence.

Did she ever attend a pompey match? NO.

Has she ever attended a Saints match? YES

Does she own a top with the red sash? YES

So how dare you insult a woman of such discerning good taste.

I wasn't suggesting that you didn't have a right to moan, in fact I did mention the money thing and our right to have expectations.

Again in my opinion, whilst on here moan all you like. This is the place for it, or with your mates down the pub or at your girlfriend / boyfriend when you have to explain "it's not not just a f***ing game".

The thread itself was actually about the role we play when we are at the game. As I said we have had excellent support up to this point, however at the Hull game at half time, when I heard a small chorus of boo's I thought... really? after everything we've acomplished in the last couple of years.

Fortunately the people doing it were so far and few between, I don't think the players heard it but believe me, if they get any louder they will and it will become a self-fulfilling prophecy. We are at our best when we play without fear. Start making the team scared of making a mistake and we will find ourselves with a hell of alot more to moan about.

Also and once again, in my own opinion I really dont get this "Julius Ceasar - Entertain me" attitude that football fans in general seem to have nowadays. When you pay your money to go to the cinema you do it with the knowladge that you may not enjoy the film. The only way you do know you will enjoy it is if you already know the end but then if you already know that, then there really isn't much point in going is there.

I wasn't disagreeing with you at all. I haven't and never will moan at a player during the game even if they're playing beyond ****. I save it for here, at work or I take it out by shagging a random girl hard. ( now get that image out off your head of me shagging a girl as I moan about Saints.)<laugh>

I agree with this.I would like to know out of interest how many of the supporters telling us not to say a single negative word about recent performances actually went to the last 2 away games.I went and when i came back i wrote about it and said it how i saw it and that was negatively, sorry but we should be able to give our honest opinions, obviously without getting stupid with it.I'm not doubting saints and i have every faith in Nigel to perk us up but it doesn't stop me worrying about our current performances away from home.

We are all entitled to a moan. As it's been mentioned many of us pay our hard cold cash (yes in this period of fiscal restraint) to watch our beloved club. The mix of positive and negative debate on here is what makes this forum what it is.

HOWEVER

The negatives MUST stop at KO and until fans have left the ground. Nothing is gained when the chips are down by booing, moaning, venting frustration during the game. That's nige's job. Plus don't you think the players know if they're having a bad one - pretty obvious if we're behind or we've squandered loads of chances. So as the OP states let's all support for the 90+ mins. It's our role and we can make a difference. And then have a good old rant on here/at the pub after :emoticon-0111-blush

I agree about not doing it at the match but i must say i do have natural reactions to someone fecking up and that is a big sigh or a groan.I never boo, only at the referee at times but i don't see the point in booing players as it really doesn't achieve anything.

What good does moaning do? It's not as if by moaning your going to make the players play better, or impart wisdom upon Nigel to the effect that he changes our tactics and we magically improve, is it?

The only reason I can come up with to account for it is that it lets you vent your frustration.

But it doesn't make you a better supporter by moaning like a little bitch, does it?

Loving this jdub. I am getting a tattoo of this tomorrow!! If there is one thing Nigel bangs on about is positivity. Moaning impacts on positivity. Supporters who don't realise this are rather silly.

<laugh> Well that will teach me for misunderstanding you wont it. I'm off now to try and think of absolutely anything else!!! <laugh>

P.S. by the way, in my head the random girl was Lucy Pinder, so well done you. <ok>
