just had a glance at the table and only 4 points separate the table from 7th to 18th ! we have wolves, Bournemouth west ham and villa for our next 3 games, so if we can pick up a couple of wins ill be happy … I think we have no reason to panic yet we've had 6 games of 9 against teams we would expect to lose against and 4 of those away from home . if we lose the next 4 games though we are ****ed. if we were to pick up 6 to 12 points we will be flying
It’s only 9 games in mate, and as you say there’s little between 18th and 6th, as the league outside the top 2 looks pretty evenly matched this year. Your problem is goals, I don’t see where the goals are coming from in that side from what I’ve seen of it. You need your £40m man to start producing if you’re not to have an edgy season looking over your shoulder all the time imo.
hopefully we can score a few against the sides coming up and get the confidence levels up! it's one of those season where if you can win 2 or 3 on the bounce you'll move into the top half and we have that opportunity with our next run of games , but at the same time we could lose all 4 .. I think like bobby robson said there's no point looking at the table until end of November and sadly he's now a skeleton and we have steve bruce.
I think Shankly used to say he’d not look at the table until 10 games in. I think he was talking bollocks as well in fairness You’re generally good defensively and so you won’t often ship a hatful, which means you’ll likely stick in with a chance in most games. Gayle is fit again isn’t he? He’s not a great footballer but he’s a goal scorer.
i'd just play the same side that's doing ok and we will win a some of the next 4 ! I wouldn't gamble on it being better until we really really are losing every week
