I think he should be given at least 2 - 3 years to build his own squad. In the end it will come down to if he loses the dressing room. 9 times of 10 it's the senior squad players that end up getting the managers sacked imo.
Part of me doesn't think he will get that. I'm not expecting him to be sacked yet, but if he gets a player or two this window and we are still ****e he will get the boot before the end of the season.
He'll be lucky if he's got another 3 weeks mate. Murmurs of the dressing starting to question things behind the scenes, doesn't bode well imo. As if you slip any further away from the race for the top 4, then I think he's dead meat & if the dressing room have decided that's the way it needs to go, then he's as good as done.......
Depends on what the minimum requirement is this year. Clearly the board are prepared to not compete for the title this year but what about top 4? Another 3 or 4 bad results and top 4 could be pretty much done too and then perhaps the board will act. At this time, none of us really know where the tipping point lies.
The tipping point will probably be if the share price falls off a cliff, when investors feel that CL for next season is highly unlikely. Their last market forecast was based on them finishing 3rd & reaching the last 8 of the CL, sot that's the minimum requirement as far as the market is concerned.
... according to Twitter I'm in with a shout ... I have that on 'very good authority' ... not least because it was me thatt Twatted it
I've heard this. You're getting Phil Neville back as manager with Moyes as his number two. I hear Woodward has offered Everton a mars bar and a half season ticket at Old Trafford.
