Who said anything about everyday? Swimmers do lift weights, look at the size of their lats, you don't get that big just using water as resistance.

I think you're confusing bodybuilding with weight training, bodybuilding would make a swimmer slower but a specially designed weight routine wouldn't it enhances their performance that's why they do it. Same with footballers, cricketers, formula 1 drivers and almost all other sports you can think of.

What I'm trying to say is that you can get all the muscles you need and want without lifting weights in the traditional sense. Stuff like freeletics etc. which is building muscles just using your own bodyweight. It creates a leaner more flexible muscle physique.

While Joshua actually looks like a bodybuilder in training - he's getting no benefit and crushing cans every 6 months like he is doing now doesn't disprove this.

Obviously lifting weights now and again can be used to great effect, what i'm saying is you don't have to to be a successful or world class boxer. It's more about core strength and conditioning.

No chance. Eddie Hearn is a conman.

I'd pay to watch something like Golovkin vs Canelo or Crawford vs Postol etc - this aint a PPV worthy fight. It should be free to watch on channel 5.

Thinking of it. Last two fights I watched were a piss take finding streams, ended up missing half of rounds or so hving to keep finding new ones.

Most streams are awful, so I just pay for Sky uninterrupted HD bliss. None of this pop up, crashing bollocks.

Given the anticipated length of this fight, then the pop ups may just last longer then the fight itself !

Charles Martin was absolutely rubbish no head movement with a rigid body. Fair play to Joshua - nailed him with a couple of decent shots.

Absolute class by AJ again, took a round to figure him out then demolished him in the second.

He made a mockery of those that doubted him and now he's a world champion. There'll be tougher fights ahead that's for sure but he's starting to look like the real deal.

Hunters a ****, Connor Benn looks exciting and AJ is a ****ing terminator or something. That Martin was ****e but the composure from Joshu was promising, seems he's learned a lot from that scrap with Whyte.

Martin is a club fighter and the worst heavy weight champion in history. Fraudley Harrison and David Price would probably knock him out.

Please can we wait until Joshua fights a half-decent opponent before saying how god-like he is?

AJ has won a title quicker than Ali or Tyson did. You can absolutely make claims about the quality of the competition, but it is still an incredible achievement.

Great to see so many Brits on top in the boxing.

Got to give Martin credit for coming over to fight Joshua, took some bottle...... Joshua is a beast.
Good for the sport again to have a decent heavyweight division. I hope Joshua one day fights Tyson Fury and knocks him out.

Joshua would destroy Fury. David Price beat Fury twice in the amatuers and he is bang average.

Give the lad some credit, he's destroyed every opponent put in his way and he's world champion.

He can only beat what's in front of him and there'll be tougher fights ahead for sure. Fury has only won one fight against decent opposition yet you seem to think he's a brilliant fighter.

Joshua is exciting and has brought punching back to top-level heavy weight boxing, that's why people like him. He has a perfect pro record and Olympic gold, at this stage in his career he's achieved more than any other British heavy weight had at this point in theirs.

It's a sad reflection on the boxing scene. where a pro's first half dozen fights are against people they're pretty much guaranteed to steam roll, that someone can be a world heavy weight champion, and still have people, rightly, waiting to see how they perform against quality opposition.
