It's true. If we fix the striker situation, our lot will look a whole lot rosier. <ok>

I'm not at all religious but I've made a quick poem based on the Lord's Prayer for a giggle.

    The Striker's Prayer

Our striker who art in potentia,

    Goals be thy aim,

    Our games be won,

    when your goals come,

From a dearth, please give us six or seven

In every game, with foot or with head,

    And we'll forget your simulations,

as we castigate those who simulate against us,

    Lead us away from relegation,

    towards the top four,

For thine home is our kingdom: the kop, with its glory,

    For ever and ever,

    Amen.

    I'm a poet and I know it! <laugh><ok>

    Cheers, RTSM. <ok>

I vaguely remembered that Fowler one, and I was going for something a bit similar.

FYI, I searched the internet and just to inflame everyone's nostalgia here it is (from BBC website):

    'The God's Prayer'
    Our Fowler
    Thou art is scoring
    Robbie be they name
    Thy transfer has been done
On a free as it is in January
Give us this day our favourite red
Alonso will give you the best passes
As Carra stops those who pass against us
    Deliver us the title
And lead us not into relegation
    For eleven is your number
    Forever and ever
    Our man

Chance for anyone who hasn't seen him before to watch Huntelaar tonight on the TV vs Arsenal.

I've followed all his career, from when he was scoring goals for fun in the playground up to now at Schalke. True supporter, beat that.

Both Walcott and Huntelaar have scored so far. That's why we're (allegedly) interested, after all. <ok>

Holtby with the assist as well - great first time flick onto Huntelaar and it was a fantastic finish.

    Is Holtby really a kraut? It's not a very kraut-like name <yikes>

We've had some pretty good service out of ex-bluesh1te supporting players. Could be an omen.
