I will believe it when it is confirmed on the LFC website. 6m for him though would be far far better than wasting £35m on AC. If he flops, then it's no big deal financially... but would be annoying if it did happen as we really need goals.

  2. Stats smats. I look at players and how they perform. Walcott is unproven as a CF and wants £100k per week to come to us and try it out. Do you not think we've done enough 'presenting' already...? <doh>

Problem with Walcott is he seems to think opposition players standing in front of him are mirages and tries to plough right through them, which ends up in a loss of possession.

  6. Problem with Walcott is his brain...it doesn't work!

Sterling still has a few creases to iron out. He can be a bit hesitant. Walcott's finishing is miles better (than our whole squads).

  10. Walcott's finishing has improved but not to a £100k per week level. I'd play Sterling and Suso ahead of him, I certainly wouldn't play Theo through the middle either as I believe that alters the system (I agree about your theory on Suarez dropping deep and the two wide players being the main attackers etc)

£6 million for Huntelaar and he's 29 and he's overall a far superior finisher than Van Persie who is 29 and cost 4 times that would be a masterstroke. Van Persie was also in the final year of his contract too. It would be the reverse of us signing Downing and United signing Ashley Young.

  12. Except Huntelaar as been hit and miss with the clubs he has joined so he is by no means a 'safe' signing. Not that I wouldn't be happy with it, I'd be over the moon <ok>

But who is a safe signing?

    Most players have off seasons.

The most important question is, how will he handle English football.

You seem to have forgotten something.
Suarez and Huntelaar have played up front together before in a formidable attacking three. I'm sure he would gobble up the chances that Suarez creates.

No problem in our team as the focus of our attack. We create a **** load of chances that would potentially be put on a plate for him. We absolutely dominated again today and somehow didn't come away with the points.

    This.
The key for a player like Huntelaar is creativity. We've got an abundance of creativity, but we lack a real cutting edge..a ruthless streak. Someone that only understands how to make a net bulge is what we need and Huntelaar is just that.

Would be great but i'll believe it when I see it.

I've become very much a pessimist. Hopefully I'm proved wrong.
