At least KJ knows him from previous. I think KJ is too cautious in the forward department. He usually gets the defence spot on (excusing the odd error like George Friend) but he's had his fingers burnt a few times up front (McLeod, Theo, Price) and when you listen to him he always thinks defence first. Maybe he needs more confidence and takes a few risks in this area.
One thing that I like about KJ is that I've NEVER heard him complain about how difficult it is bringing people to the Den. (Dunno why) But almost all his predecessors used this line on a regular basis.
However, we are looking light up front (and have done in the past under KJ) and we are not going top 6 if we stay as we are. also now any player that comes in has not had the benefit of pre-season with us - which seems to mean they are more injury prone. What I am struggling with is the fact that Marquis and McQuoid are not scoring - the positions are there for them to steal...but they don't look that eager. Let's hope Batt gets his head together and gets fully fit - but it feels like clutching at straws.
