Michael Douglas must in his mid 70's so kirky must have been a right old age.

I saw Spartacus when it was first released (and more than a few times since).

I thoroughly enjoyed it. RIP.
 
In the big scheme of things actors aren’t worth a pinch of ****. I make an exception for Kirk Douglas. He transcended all of that. RIP Mr Douglas.
 
He wanted the part in Ben hur, was so mad he did'nt get it he went on a mission to find another hero, paid for the production himself about $300,000 a fortune at the time, and in my opinion up there with Ben hur, and Quo vadis, i have been collecting the 'epics' on blu ray and they are all amazing, better than when they were on the screen !. lonely are the brave was brilliant as well, as is gunfight at the O K corral.
