The latest interview from Joe in all its glory!

http://tyneandwear.sky.com/newcastl...letting-go-joe-kinnear-on-gomis-remy-and-bent

Hopeful on Gomis, Remy and Bent and will look at signings in other areas once two strikers are signed.

He didn't come across too badly until you realise it's August and have still to sign a single player. Has anyone told Kinnear that there is a transfer window these days and that he is in fact working to a deadline?!

Saw the title of your thread and thought "wish he wouldn't". As you say didn't come over too bad, lets hope it is backed up with two strikers.

It was a cricket event for cancer research. His son died of the disease. Give him a break eh lads.

What is the relevance here? Very sad that he has had to go through something like that, but nobody is making fun of it. He is still a useless appointment and an embarrassment to our club.

The relevance is that everyone, rightly or wrongly, criticises JFK on a daily basis. He's made plenty of mistakes and I totally get that, he's infuriated me as well at times. But to be open enough and have the balls to put himself on the line and tell the fans live on TV what's going on behind the scenes is a decent thing.

One thing we always criticise NUFC for is that they tell us nothing. Yes JFK speaks **** and has made himself look a tool at times, but I think he came across well today, trying to reassure us, most of whom are panicking at the lack of news.

He took time out of a charity event which is obviously close to his heart, to try and let us know what's going on. Fair play to him I say. I'm not accusing anyone of mocking him? I'm just saying we should give him a break on this occasion as he's done nothing wrong in my view.

Spot on.

I concur, I actually appreciate this rare piece of insider information. A lot of clubs are guilty of revealing more than this. Are not forgetting how much of a loudmouth Aulas has been in the Gomis case? That is when the line of confidentiality has been breached.

fair enough like but he's hardly checking not606 to see what we think of him and this is the same guy who said we fans talk out our backsides and he has more intelligence than us so hardly a victim by me making a joke.

Just seen the interview, and it was good to see him coming across as sensible.
Interesting to hear what is going on with Gomis with all the is he coming or not talk that is constantly going on.

I still don't think he is the right appointment, but, he is coming across better now.
Time will tell at the end of the Transfer Window on him now.

Its just a shame, he got ambushed by the WUMMING c**** on Talk*****.
The more you listen to it, they more than happy to egg him on.

I wasn't having a go at you, I just wanted to say the constant criticism isn't fair and is a bit boring!

This.
No one mentioned the type of charity. We base our judgement on what we see without own eyes and ears.
