I'm nailing my green, white and red flag to the flagpole right now. England be damned, this summer, I'm Italian.

England will go further than Italy I reckon.

Also, which king will you be laying? ;)

Epic GoT reference fail! Keep GoT out of not606! Maybe acceptable on the off topic thread, but seriously, some posters on here (non saints) have massive GoT banners as their sig. This is a football forum football means a lot more than a tv show.

Semi Finals:

Brazil v Germany

Italy v Argentina

Germany Italy Final

Krauts win

Brazil has a civil war.

Just did the predictor. Argentina beat Brazil in the final, Germany beat England in the 3rd place match.

England had a relatively sedate passage through the group after a 0-0 draw with Italy, beating Japan in the second round and progressing against Chile after extra time, however the might of Argentina's strike force proved too much to overcome.

You heard it here first!

Was going to say Brazil until I saw that squad. Now I don't know.

Its scary to think Brazil have left Diego Alves, Countinho, kaka, Miranda, Felipe Luis and Lucas Moura out of their world cup squad, would assume most of these players would make the cut for England and maybe a few in our starting line up.

Especially with Luis & Miranda possibly having a UCL and la Liga medal by the end of the season, they must be gutted.

Scolari has stuck with a pretty stable core of players and you'd have to say it's paying off. The likes of Miranda may well deserve to make the squad on merit but they haven't been used in qualifying and was never really in the plan to chop and change now.

You could say its something nations like Brazil have against England- our squad could be a lot different to what it has been in previous years and in WC qualifying. I do like the idea of players on form making the starting 11*, but I guess it a gamble as to whether they gel.
