SEB and Geddo would take the pressure off Prossie, Simpson and Aluko (when he gets back). It also gives us plenty of options for the rest of the season and going into the next. Fryatt will be back by the time Geddo returns to Egypt and with Simpson woefully out of form, SEB could well take his place in the squad when his contract runs out in July. Prossie, Aluko, SEB and Fryatt as the four match day strikers?
KingFut.com ‏@King_Fut Our report from yday on Ahly duo Gedo & Fathi closing in on moves to #HCAFC: http://www.kingfut.com/2013/01/29/exclusive-hull-on-the-verge-of-landing-al-ahly-duo-fathi-and-gedo/ … Now confirmed on club's official website.
SEB and DJ are both better than Prossie and Simpson. Possibly better than Fryatt as well. I suspect that Gedo may be the best of all of them, but it's difficult to tell because we've not seen him against English opposition yet. I wouldn't bet my house on it, but if anyone wants a £5...............................
I dont think there are too many strikers, in this league certainly, which can keep the ball like Prossie does. When it's played to his feet he's quite skilful, I still think he will come good. Next to someone like SEB, I reckon he would start to find the net.
Totally agree. Those criticising Der Bomber seem to overlook that he's playing with other attacking players who all want to do exactly the same as him ie come deep and play link up to a striker on the shoulder of the last defender. I honestly wonder how often we scouted him as that was the one thing we werent short of.
Have no fear, I believe Brucie has a masterplan, I checked with Baldrick. Seriously, I reckon SB is playing his cards brilliantly, and not just thinking of this season
"Mohamed Gedo Ahli striker that he is happy that experience which Sejodha player after several days in the English Premier League club Hull City, where he now awaits a travel permit after completing all procedures for the player during the past two days .. and explained Gedo about the difficulties that will be faced there, pointing out that the most important is the climate and atmosphere of the ball in England and is hoping Gedo to get rid of it at the beginning of his journey with English Premier League club Hull City .. Ahli striker added that the presence of Ahmad Fathi him in the same team and the presence of Ahmed Al-Muhammadi in England contribute much in Taqlmh speed on a team atmosphere there. And wishing Gedo in another speech a return to stability and security, and security for Egypt again in the coming period .."
The contracts can be signed and registered in time with a clause about work permits being granted. Many do it this way. In other words if the permit is not issued then the contract can be voided. Dont see an issue with the registrations as FA HQ always have extra fax machines ready and waiting. Then again surely email attachments are better and quicker.??
This Gedo seems like a winner to me, he's got some pedigree winning the ACN & the ACL, he's scored against quality teams such as Ivory Coast, Ghana & Cameroon. I like someone else don't think we'd have got him if it wasn't for the unrest & lack of games in Egypt. Time will tell of course but I've got a positive feeling about it..
it amazes me how you know these things.. like "the FA always has extra fax machines ready..".. were you on work experience there? you are right about the email attachments however but I think it's due to legal requirements and perhaps digital-based contracts not being accepted by certain bodies.
