"Hoddle's going to manage the Guest XI, apparently." Should Levy rehire him if his team turns over whatever side Timmy fields ??
The latest name to be added is an opponent from the weekend just gone. Mr Abbey Clancy will be playing at the Lane, again.
That's a good addition. It's hard not to Like Peter Crouch. Seems like a top guy and a great professional.
Really looking forward to this, so far we've got: Robbo -----, -----, King, ----- Anderton, -----, -----, Ginola Sheringham, Crouch Would love to see Mabbutt play a few mins - one legendary CB with another. Would also like to see Daws switch over and partner Ledley at some point for one last time, used to love seeing them two together back in the day. Calm and skill with passion and grit. Surely Defoe will be available to pop back over too?
Few more added, Stephen Carr, Stephen Clemence and Ruel Fox. So, so far, we could field: Robbo Carr, -----, King, ----- Fox, Anderton, Clemence, Ginola Sheringham, Crouch
I'm surprised Steve Carr was invited, given his Joey Bartonesque actions towards our players and fans whenever he played against us after he left.
I loved my 4 winger formation on championship manager back in the day. Scored LOADS of goals. Alas Ledley King was the least happy player i'd ever had. Quite clever that game
Berbatov's playing Might still get a few boos Can't wait. Hopefully all the fans that just want to grumble will stay well away from the game and it will be the great atmosphere that Ledley deserves.
No YPL so far but Stalteri is playing. Hopefully Naughton will play left back with the current team and we can have a battle of the right footed left backs.
I booed when he returned for Utd and a little for Fulham but I'll be disappointed if he gets booed for Ledley's testimonial. It's a special game for Ledley and I wouldn't want to see it ruined by boos, the man is honouring one of our greatest ever players, for that night he gets my respect. Whenever I hear the name Stalteri all I ever see is visions of the 3-4 match. Is it fair that I can call him a legend, just for that?
Yeah, I know what you mean. Sometimes the boos are playful though, like when Beckham had his first touch booed by United fans when he played against them with AC Milan(or maybe it was PSG). Hopefully we'll just steer clear of the booing altogether.
