What the **** is wrong with some people on here? Give me a ****ing break! Of course our new Gaffer hasn't done anything yet. We don't need anyone to tell us that! Do you actually remember the Hull game? Wasn't that long ago! Did any of us ever think we'd be linked with someone like this?

One of the greatest footballers to ever take to the field has become our Manager! Even if it doesn't work out we should savour this moment and some of these comments are so bloody typical of some.

Praise the Board and welcome the guy ffs!!!!

ClassyJack No1

Totally agree fella!! The things he should be able to show our players will just be too incredible to believe!! This man's talent was jaw dropping. The way he used to 'ghost' past players was just unbelievable. His balance, touch, passing ability, dribbling skills & finishing, used to have us all mesmerised!! Especially for Denmark, alongside the amazing Preben Elkjaer!! Just thinking for example, what someone like Joey could learn from him....

Classy Jacks alright....

For me Huw Jenkins and the board deserve enormous credit. We are very lucky to be ran by intelligent guys who consistently make the right decision.

First we get 7 million quid compensation because someone had the good sense to put in the right clauses in Brendan's contract.
Then they select the perfect candidate once again...and I mean perfect. I don't care if we go down, might have gone down with Rodgers anyway, Laudrup is a perfect fit for us...ticks every box.

We've got ourselves a manager who;
- will command the respect of our squad and increase our chances of keeping the core squad together
- has the necessary contacts to give us the advantage in the transfer market we absolutely depend on (what with relatively small resources)
- has the charisma and reputation (Legend) to persuade a few players to pick us over rivals if he has several clubs/bids to choose from
- is committed to playing our brand of football
- has something to prove (ambition)
- has had enough bad experiences at other football clubs to value our set up and stability, invaluable experience
- and is a born winner

I must say this is a top post, and I concur! as for you party poopers, we are celebrating a 'Top class new Manager', not winning the Premiership, besides we could have ended up with GJ or Holloway, that you have to celabrate!...................

Scott great vid the move he makes a lot to pass players ball square off his right to his left foot looks so simple but he mastered it so well it looks easy ! if only he can get some of our lads to move it like that they would be awsome !!!

My reading of Laudrup was his quotes that after having his fingers burnt at several clubs as a manager, his next move would be to a club where the relationship with the board would be paramount regardless of the opportunity. Feather in the cap indeed for HJ and the boys... we do things different and he ML would have seen that.

Happy days.

You have done well to get Laudrup, just as we have to get Hughton. It makes the loss of a first class manager a lot easier to bear when another walks straight in the door.Best of luck for next season Swans.

Thanks .... but I have to question your name choice with Norwich's obvious link to Barca/Dutch stylee/Beautiful game (a closet Jack me thinks ;) )
