Yeah, was celebrating my misus birthday down gold coast and bumped into a family with kids in Chesea shirts. We got lashed and CB was being a cock i think. Also watched game on line.
Went of at CB and got a bit graphic when i told everybody else what he does in his bedroom alone all day.!!
Was over the top (but quite funny)..appologised and moved on. Apparently our darling cant.
This he's die-ing to come out the closet and likes talking to aussies as there is such a massive gay population over here.
He even offered to go out for a drink with me when i came back later this year....?

So Cerny, Queenslander and myself recall no racism in that earlier thread. You do apparently. So are we lying or are you?

There'll be stuff posted in between the time I started and finished writing this so apologies if this seems to ignore anything significant.

Just read through this thread and tbh have seen this coming for a while now. I advised CB to wind his neck in the other day but he's clearly not listening - unlike Queenslander who took the modding I had to issue with the utmost respect, and returned to become a contributor on here that I value greatly.

Swords points out that I'm inclined towards leniency. It's not so much that - more the fact that mods don't have that much power to do much about anything. I've made clear from the outset that I do not regard myself as a leader on here -just one of the guys with the buttons to do the bidding of what appears to be the majority of members. Self-moderation would be the name of the game...

It is precisely this point that has prevented me from acting against CB so far. The majority of responses to threads debating CB's worth have invariably favoured his continued existence. I consider that as mod, a big part of my role is to maintain the forum for the continued benefit and enjoyment of its users. In that sense, as long as people are generally happy, beyond the more nasty 'isms', my own views don't come into it.

As it happens, I'm a bit of a prude. Roller will tell you, like him, I'm not into the banter much less the wumming that goes on. Much prefer the intelligent commentary on my club. If the wumming comes from outside, I get shot of it as soon as I see it without a word. If it comes from the inside, like all this CB nonsense, I let it ride - until it threatens to disturb the status quo.

Like now for instance.

I don't know why so many of you think CB is a positive for the board. As mod I'm advising you that he has become anything but. The other day I saw that CB had stated that he returned from his short-lived exile following a 'grovelling apology' from me. Completely untrue. Actually a down right lie. Consequently, I called him a Walter Mitty nut job (because that's exactly what he has become) and told him to sort himself out. Comments about 'cutting' people, one to ones, 'stranglers', six fingered people and constant references to drugs fall way beyond jokes AND the house rules we agreed under Northolt (see my signature).

What I'm seeing here is a fool dancing for money and a number of you geeing him up. A few of you have called for a tone down one way or another - and for the sake of our board I ask you all, that for as long as CB remains a presence on here, please remember it is up to us all to keep things in check. I promise you, I will certainly be doing my bit.

 

How do you work that out mate?
I spent many years in nightclubs & I have a lot of friends who are gay both here and at home. My take is that what-ever floats your boat is up to you. Personally it's not my "thing" but i have nothing against those that choose to be gay, bi, straight or what-ever.

i live in a country that per % of the population is has the largest number of gay and lesbians in the world!. Surely if it bothered me i wouldn't be here would I.
I'd be intrested to know how you came to that conclusion based on how little you know of me?

Queenslander, i can't imagine even the most ardent homophobe being prepared to leave a country purely because of a marginally higher percentage of gay/bisexual people- so it's irrelivant that you live in Australia!
You're mocking CB by suggesting that he's gay- as if that's something deserving of derision. ( i doubt you'd be mocking him by suggesting that he's straight?)
I don't happen to swing that way either, and wouldn't have batted an eyelid- had you not taken offence at the suggestion of racism.
It just seemed a bit short-sighted to vehemently deny the suggestion of one prejudice then proceed to write things that imply another!
Also for the record, i don't like Cerny's posts and enjoy seeing him dismantled just as much as the next guy

For the record. I am neither racist or homophobic towards anyone.
I understand the location point, but it is very much "in your face" out here.
My misus used to work for Coles (tesco's) when we 1 arrived here. They employed 50 + staff in the shop and only 2 of them were not gay/lesbian. We stil have a laugh and drink WITH them on social occasions.

Racism is one of the reasons i want to leave England, for my kids. This is an entirely diffrent subject and discussion though. I hate it with a passion.
As for CB, what I post to him is the result of our on-going love affair and should never be taken seriously.
I think you mised the part where i abused him (badly) and as such we have a special understanding !

Spot on mate. Just really cant see England getting any better any time soon.
Its still home mate, but i have a job here that I'd never even be considered for in the UK. I have litterally double my wages, and my kids get the opportunities to do stuff they can only dream of back home.
Its not all roses, but its a lot better than what I had!

Thank you Brix. Posted something on the ' Cerny from a Newbie View' or whatever thread, before I read this. My post redundant as a result. But I am absolutely convinced that posters that I really value stay away from the forum because of the crap we have seen over the last couple of days. Just the time when we should be revelling in being Rs supporters. I'm all for free speech etc, but it's a privilege, not a right ( ask half the worlds population). Cerny can't control himself but the most of the rest of us can, time to cut off the oxygen supply.

Dont really get the arguing thing at the moment. It was understandable in te lead up to the game as we were all on edge, but i cant see why its happening now? We stayed up? Surely we should all be celebrating...?
