I read that yesterday, he really should be in F1!
 
There are rumours flying around that he might be back in the next couple of years. For example, he has RedBull backing, Webber's replacement? Or Renault if Kubica cannot come back
 
I think there is always going to be rumours, but he himself isn't the youngest any longer, if he joined for 2012, I wouldn't expect him to manage 3 seasons, so I guess if teams want continuity for a period of time he's not the best option. If Heidfeld's position is under threat, as Renault have hinted, I imagine he is on a very short term contract, so maybe he could jump in there if he wanted to, but I think he turned it down in January, and is now part of another racing series, so maybe not. Also, I doubt he'd want to race for anyone but a top team, although his career has gone off on a bit of a tangent recently, so maybe that doesn't bother him so much now?

yeah maybe, but a midfield team would take a chance on a former world champion surely? If not for the extra speed, but the increased media and sponser interest
 
You heard it here first, Raikkonnen to replace the struggling Karthikeyan at HRT mid-season, and with the extra money, HRT go on to make a late bid for the championship. They narrowly miss out in the last race when Vettel collides with Raikkonnen in the first corner, to reignite the German-Finn battles of old.

Sorry to dampen things a bit here but he will not be back in F1 in a top team. Forget it. The rumours and stories are cooked up to keep people talking but Kimi's already had his day.

Hence why maybe in a midfield team, that wants the money from sponsreship that might be attracted by a former driver's WC
