Rugby park 3- 0 at half time To Rugby park 0 - 6 at full time = Champions Minus 15 points against the huns to 11 point lead. What a turn around!
Hi all, Gers fan in peace! Enjoy your title. No complaints here, you have been the best team over the season. Enjoy your party.
Thanks Mitre, I suppose we can hardly expect Trevor to congratulate us. Its days like today with so little respect shown to the Champions just show why Rangers going into liquidation would be the best possible thing for Scottish Football. Fair play to Killie in both the cup game at Hampden and today's match they never resorted to foul and strong arm tactics. In both games they played the game as well as they could. I think that Neil Lennon's involvement in the murder trial and that upset their preparation.
Liquidation wont really change anything mate, we will just transfer the club to a NewCo prior to liquidating the old company. Is an easy solution to be honest. Would rather settle the debts in a agreeable way with the creditors via a CVA, but if as suggested the HMRC will not play ball then it only leaves us one option.
Mitre, how do you expect Rangers to be able to pay their debts in the normal way. The Rangers club has not ben run normally at any time this century, so I fail to see how the club run normally could repay over £100m debit and pay its way from week to week as well.
Super, There is no way we can pay back £100m, thats not an option. The two options we have are as follows :- 1. Agree CVA and exit administration. 2. Sell the club to a new company (pre-pack method, although possibly to a different owner), Then liquidate the old company. Probably less of a return for the creditors, but if the HMRC want to make a statement they may force this. We would be hit with either a relegation to the 3rd or a points deduction in the SPL (prob around 15-25 points). Only logical answers.
As a possible punishment for exiting administration without achieving a CVA. I doubt it will happen though, we will be kept in the SPL.
you have just explained that this is a new company. This new company will never have been in administration. This new company will never have done anything at all, so very obviously they can't exit what they have never been in. So what would they be punished for?
It would be a punishment levied on the club, not the company. They are different things. Its like Leeds, they were punished 15 points for exiting admin without agreeing a CVA. They were a new company as well.
