Its better performance, but still very fragile, but from small acorns grow mighty oaks....and Arsenal got s hat on , so all good
yeah, it wasnt perfect ut it was a team that has been playing badly, with low confidence, trying to play well. and i'll have that all day over what we got against liverpool and southampton! as you say, we'll get there, we just need to keep going. Also, on the basis of tonight's support (from both player and fans)-roman would be crazy to get rid of jose.
Alwayd rated willian and loved his underrated energy when people were slating him last year. Even though baba is a bit sloppy on the ball much prefer him there and dave on the right than make shift fullbacks
Willian was again brilliant, Fabregas looked to be a bit better, Matic was so/so, Costa was again ****, Oscar looked to be improving and Ramires was pretty good, the defence looked more secure. I think in 3/4 more games you will have played through your rough patch, just need to get Hazard performing again, get Remy up front and maybe give Kennedy more game time.
Very good first half unlucky not to have more, but oh dear second half was dire and only lit up by the final result.
Definitely. We had a false dawn when we beat Arsenal and turned even worse. Although to be fair we did play well against Stoke in the cup so hopefully Mourinho selects his line up wisely - meaning NO to Zouma at right back.
Crowd was immense last night by the way. Not many sets of fans giving a manager a standing ovation after a run like this!
The best full back in the PL, Azpilicueta! I would much rather we played Baba at left back and him at right than see Zouma anywhere near RB.
Love Zouma , that recovery tackle he did when that dude was in on goal was ****ing immense. But that boy cannot put in a cross to save his life!
He's a great centre half and can fill in midfield if need be but he's in no way shape or form a wide player!
Was never going to be perfect so we should be thankful for small mercies. After the run we've had it was always going ugly & desperate display - we're going have to grind out results until the cavalry arrive in January. If Jose can keep his temper and keep the team focused there's every chance he can come out the other side.....time will tell.
Really can't see us spending massive money in Jan. But I agree that results will have to be ground out until we find real form and confidence again. Was really pleased with the crowd's reaction. Think the Chelsea fans have been a credit to the club through all this. Can you imagine how the Gooners would be reacting?!?!
that is exactly what I meant when I said 'Jose should be treated like Fergie / Arsene' by the board. Full control on the personnel side. Or else no point for Jose to stay. not going to help anyone.
