Match Day Thread Kids & Crocks Grecians v Chairboys 16th Aug 22

The Chairboys are off to the West Country to take on the Grecians looking to put the disappointment of Saturday behind them, although our record against them is good this has gone down hill over recent games as we have gone 4 games without a win and it was 7 years ago since our last win at St James Park, the Grecians have made a solid start to their campaign with 4 points from 3 games and they hammed Cheltenham 7-0 at Whaddon Road in the EFL Cup.
Gaz must make changes for this game as JJ is no Centre Back so we need to stop trying to put square pegs in round holes Wakely is a left sided CB if we have no other options and if we haven't GET SOME PLAYERS IN FFS.
I'm not sure what to expect from this game so I won't be watching although it's on Wanderers TV but lets hope the lads put Saturday to bed and and get the show back on the road

 

Same as that mate i'm not paying £10 to watch a live game until we get a number one keeper and another central defender signed.

 

It's p*ssing down here in Somerset with thunder and lightning so i imagine Devon will be seeing the same so it's possible the game will be postponed.

Shame we are not giving Mellor another game or at least another of the young strikers. As Guy said earlier square pegs in round holes should not be our first option. Great to see Mawson back.

 

Apert from Vokes missing that is as strong side as we have, probably decided Mellor did enough Saturday in the heat.

 

Yeah I thought tiredness might be a factor, however we have other young strikers. I hope it’s a tactical masterclass.
