I was thinking about this over lunch and it occured to me that this deal "IF it is true" could involve a Mr J Barton going to Celtic, why not? Although banned by the FA does anyone know if he could play under SFA rules? Even if he can't it still could involve him, I know it might sound a bit far fetched and even seem too much but 8mil + Barton would be a good deal for both clubs and they would fill their vacant midfield spot, Barton although I don't give a damn about him losing face it would look good from his perspective i.e. going to a big club playing Europe! What do you think?
Cant see how any player would want to go play in one of the poorest leagues.....now Rangers are out of it its got even sh*ter! Which I personally thought was never possible.
Totally agree...for any Celtic player/fan that is...surely Celtic are gonna walk it now. For any other club, extra Euro spot would be open now? Strong incentive for players to stay at the other clubs and may make it more exciting?
Bartons ban doesnt apply there. Maybe we had to pay them £8m to take Barton was well, its £5m otherwise!
6 Jul 2012 14:14:00 By Miles Chambers The South Korean states that his focus is on the Olympics, and offered up compatriots Lee Chung-Yong and Park Chu-Young as the possible Loftus Road target instead. Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng has denied he will be unveiled as a QPR player at a press conference on Monday. Mark Hughes has already brought players such as goalkeeper Rob Green to Loftus Road this summer, and the club has been heavily linked with a £7-8 million move for the South Korean. The 23-year-old insisted that his primary focus is the upcoming Olympic games, and put forward the names of Lee Chung-Yong and Park Chu-Young as other Koreans that QPR's Monday press conference could be introducing. "I heard that QPR will have a press conference on [June] 9 with Korean player but I won't be there," Sung-Yueng told reporters. "I know that QPR showed interest in me but I don't know what's going on right now. Anyway, I'm not the player who will attend press conference, it's 100%. "I have not decided my future, now is time to focus on [the] Olympics. It's uncomfortable to see many transfer news about me. I don't even want to know the stories unless I receive an offer. "Who would go to QPR? I'm curious. Maybe Lee Chung-Yong or Park Chu-Young?" http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2012/07/06/3224776/celtic-midfielder-ki-sung-yueng-denies-he-will-be-unveiled?
Hopefully not, we want him (the one who said he's not signing) or Man Utd's Park. Either way it doesn't matter who we get, it will be great for our global brand
Good job i didnt do a cernyberny and claim it as my info! Park was the other player mentioned, he would give us a huge increase in exposure in asia.
Wouldn't mind Lee Chung-Yong from Bolton as Ki suggests. I had him on my wanted list after last season. He has plenty of Premier League experience and is a game changer. Reckon his price is somewhere between £5-6 mill which would be a steal imo.
Well it won't be Lee Chung-Yong because he's just signed a new contract at Bolton. I hope it's not that Park from Arsenal, he's bleeding useless! Maybe we'll all just settle for Park Ji-Sung.
Probably Kim Jong-un ...... please log in to view this image We could get 25 million extra dedicated fans overnight!
