So, having hit a career-best 326 n.o. yesterday for Surrey, KP has been told by Andrew Strauss that there's no perceived way back into the England set-up for him.
Are England selectors cutting their noses off here, or is the 'baggage' that comes with the bloke more trouble than it's worth?
Plus, who would make way if he was reintroduced? Can't drop Root or Ballance on current form, Ali is useful as a back-up bowler. That leaves Ian Bell, who has saved England's bacon numerous times over his long career?
What to do for the best - bearing in mind the summer visits of New Zealand and, gulp......the Aussies <yikes>

It would have always been best to pick English (and Welsh) players to play for England. The clue is in the name.
The whining Saffer has always been too disruptive an influence to be part of the team. His bleating over the last couple of days have proved how poor Piertersons judgement and how big his ego are.

Piers Morgan can feck right off as well.

It is easy to say but had KP not slaughtered his team mates publically just after leaving the team then I imagine that if he had got back to full fitness and form then a place could have been found for him. But with his memoirs in the public domain there is no way that the likes of Broad and Andersen who he very specifically criticised or Cook could share a dressing room with him without losing face and from the point of the ECB is it better to lose a hugely talented batter who is skittish and prone to strops (I suspect he argues with himself in the mirror) or hack off your captain and two top strike bowlers.

I had never heard that Gilchrist and Warne disliked one and other but that for me is the point. If it is behind closed doors nobody knows and so nobody cares but as soon as you start going public then it becomes a huge issue. KP has form on this as well after his texts to the SA players and the fact that he seems to need to share every conscious thought on his twitter feed.

It would be great if an in-form KP came back into the team and flayed the Aussie attack and I don't think that the ECB and Strauss have handled the matter at all well but I do feel that he has brought this on himself and that if he just learned to keep his mouth shut and perhaps think before he typed then maybe this would not be an issue.
