Hello follow cricket fans, especially England fans, Is it me or does anyone else think Kevin Pietersen has chuck the towel in for England and doesn't care as much since he had the row with Moores and lost the captaincy.

I noticed since he lost the captaincy that he hasn't been the same, personally I think he's hit is peak and is on the track in a couple of years t be replaced.. possibly.

he isn't that interested in cricket anymore. celebrity and money seem to be what drives him forwards. get shot, make it hurt him.

he has to show desire to be in the team. if he can't he can't get back in.

Think its more a case of wanting to play in the IPL for more money as well.

if you just played 20/20 cricket around the world, you could earn yourself around $2M for a top star

IPL auction taking place during this test match, most of the England team will have one eye on that given that they each stand to earn minimum £300k if selected.

moist of the england team shouldn't bother. if swann can't go for 300k and narin (3 ODIs) goes for 700k, you know something is dreadfully wrong in the game.

are these people stupid or is there something more sinister going on?

    My two cents....

The IPL needs it own window in the international calendar= less tensions between club and country.

There would be no KP situation (to which the blame does not rest with him on this occasion).

The disparity of pay explains much of these tension. eg. Shane Watson gets $400k a year as Australia's best played player. Chris Gayle if all his troubles with WICB were over, he'd still only get paid $100k+ per year. $1m for 6 weeks work.... what would you do?

    Put in an international break.....
