    Yes but we could cash in before it's too late. Just make Barton captain. Simples.

    : IMO Ireland and Barton are both better players than Nolan and IMO better partners for Tiote. Just promote Vuckic and get Barton in the middle and buy a winger/AM(Ronald Vargas).

    He knows and accepts that he wont be in the first team for much longer, play him until there is a better alternative (I still put him in our strongest team) then make Barton captain and give him more of a bench role while still keeping morale high. Like Smith except he'd serve more of a purpose as he might actually work as an impact sub and he would help offer the depth required to get into Europe.

    Is Ireland going to be as dedicated as Nolan is? That's something we still have to find out.
