Discussion in 'Newcastle United' started by 5 Goals 1 Hat Trick 11 Heroes-NUFC4LIFE, Jun 15, 2011.

?

Is the Nolan deal good business or madness?

  1. It is a discrace

  2. I'm very disappointed, but worse things could happen

  3. Its seems not bad business, due to Nolan Attributes

  4. Its a good deal!

So your point is that eventually he came good?

So even if Caybe has a poor season he may eventually be good...

I dont get what you lot are trying to prove???

Just because Forlan had a bad season doesnt mean he couldnt adapt to the english game, he just had a bad season...

Just like Torres first season in england was great and this one just gone was ****e...

I don't think Pardew has that much say in the matter. He certainly didn't with respect ot Carroll or Barton.

There's nothing necessarilly wrong with someone other than the manager making the transfer decisions - - I just wish that they would announce that pardew is not in charge of transfers. The current situation is making hims look stupid, which isn't fair to him

Forlan had 3 seasons in England and struggled in all 3, has since moved to Spain and last season was his only bad one out of seven, some players just don't settle in the Premiership.

No. My point, is that just because a player is good in another league doesn't mean that he will be good in the prem, like you were suggesting. Therefore, this comment "caybe is class stop saying he is unproven" is completely illogical. Until he has proven himself, he is literally unproven.

He could be decent back-up though for cup games and the inevitable Tiote suspensions. Has a sweet left foot and can hit them. He was Birmingham's top scorer last season , fingers crossed. I for one would like to see him sign. Add a little bit of diversity into the mix.
