    He should count himself very fortunate to be in the position he still finds himself when he could of easily ended up in the slum for a long stretch.
    Man up Joey 1 player doesn't make a team as we found out in Carroll and will do with Nolan.

    If you Jose and Jonas leave we'll dust ourselves off sign replacements and life moves on.
    Jose might move on to bigger and better things but Joey certainly wont.

    It looks a good team on paper, but they're also all creators, none of them have great scoring records. Cabaye had a good goalscoring season in the 09/10 season, but apart from that he's never had more than 7 goals in the league, and he only scored two last season in a title winning team. Jonas doesn't have a particularly good scoring record and Barton/Ben Arfa are hardly prolific.

    Let's put it like this way, Fulham in 8th scored 49 goals last season, and I'd say that's about where you're aiming for next season, do you believe even if you struck gold and got a striker that will get you 15-20 goals a season that the rest of the team will chip in with 30-35 goals a season to get you up to that 49 goal mark?

    Exactly. Or he may have been told he has no future, with Cabaye in, Gosling back and possibly another CM on the way.

    depends who the fwd is we bring in i think this will be our main formation but it'll not be our only one ....how successful it will be time will tell

    If that's true then surely it's his fault?

    He was never going to get 5 years extra on the 2 years he has left! He's nearly 30! 2 years would have been perfect!

    im not overly concerned to be honest. nolan wants first team football and he was unlikely to get it with cabaye and ben arfa in the sqaud the fact we have been looking at boateng, gardner gervinho etc shows we are looking forward and leaving nolan behind. 5mil is a good deal hes getting on and was fading out towards the end of the season anyway. most his goals came from him poaching and carrols presence. i dont think he will be that missed if im honest. will be sad to see him go but he was awesome in the championship and wants first team football so let him go

    West Ham would, most likely, have been offering bigger wages, though.
