BWP is absolutely vital if out for any length of time he will be missed like Rooney at Man u irreplaceable
Is it me, or does Hayes play better in the first half than the second? Some of his early touches and control were really good, but then it went back to the previous poor control as the game went on.
I'm in the 'calm down guys' crowd. He did well in 10 mins that Chesterfield are stretched chasing a point coming in fresh. He showed dome good touches. He looked decent, but debuts so often do, Marcus Bent, Andy Gray, Akpo Sodje, Carlton Cole etc etc etc etc. Hayes gets so much stick for mistakes, but like I said on another thread, he probably receives more passes than any other play on the pitch for us, so he is most likely to make mistakes right? No L1 player is perfect, something some of our returning fans seemed to quickly forget on saturday. But, what he does that's important is cause problems, and he has been involved either the touch before or on the assist for pretty much every goal this season, certainly BWP's. He is integral to our success so far this season. If there are any Ice Hockey fans amongst you, if we had their points system, he would be through the roof with assists and goals. Kermogant may be a good player and may eventually take his place, but he's going to have to work very hard indeed as Hayes and BWP have built a chemistry, Hayes is the Heskey that goalscorer's say they can't be without.
