I don't know what, dick, slaps you in the face on a regular basis (but I can guess) but it certainly is not reality. I asked you to provide evidence that the board ran out of money and of course you can't. I ask you to remember where the club was when the old board took over and you pass that over. I wonder if you have an answer as to why Muzza never advised Roly to pay for Yanns new contract or where we are without a striker, or how good a player Smith is in league 1 or why this club is in the bottom 3 and why we have a disillusioned squad with a poor manager, but you and your nappy wearing pals thought and still think it's all down to jimi and slats not letting you play in the boardroom. You lot asked for this crap and boy have you have got it.
Adrian Howard ?@AdrianHoward1 · 1 min Led to believe terms now agreed with Yann fee is not 400k well under that, paperwork to be completed in time for Saturday #afcb #cafc
According to my old mucker Steve Dixon tonight, Yann sold without Powell knowing. Shows what a classy bloke the Belgian is if TRUE. it does give Powell a credible way out though, as his position would basically be untenable.
I could cheerfully scream when I think of the damage Murray has done to Charlton. His legacy just gets worse and worse and ****ing worse...
Vol you are right of course. What I object to is the hypocrisy of some fans and their mind numbing double standards. I have every respect for D Plumb, obviously not in a intellectual way but in a Labrador swinging tongue at your feet sort of way. The people that irritate me and make my piss boil are the plastic intellectuals and social misfits who have stuck it to the old board and now are distancing themselves from the mess they help create. Take Henry 'I've got a 5 year VIP season ticket' Irvine for example. "I will support Charlton athletic come what may whatever and will keep going as long as health permits" You won't take the 100% support banner down tho will you, ya slack jawed ape. And that idiot Prague addick who talks to the new board from his off license in Czechoslovakia. There is nothing worse than a middle aged under achiever with a cup of bovril and a carrier bag full of misplaced self importance.
I now wish I'd bought the club. I was a couple of million short, but I'm sure we could have had a whip-round on here, eh? I reckon Vol and Tewks are worth a few bob...
Word is that Lord Tewksbury will be selling off a few acres and selling off his bowler hat collection and putting in a bid. As for Vol who I understand has a thriving cotton plantation, I reckon we could get enough....
What I object to is the hypocrisy of some fans and their mind numbing double standards. I have every respect for D Plumb, obviously not in a intellectual way but in a Labrador swinging tongue at your feet sort of way. What a condescending post. If you had any respect for me you wouldn't have posted the second bit. You know nothing about me, if I am intellectual or not. You seem to have pigeon holed me just because I post on CL. Personally I have got zero respect for you and the crap you post.
If the mood doesn't lighten, I will be forced to leave the forum. Again. Too much bile and vitriol for my taste. COYR!
That is the first time that I have ever heard you come out with a thought that may be your own. It probably is shared by many others tho but well done, your on the road to recovery.
T, I know you are upset but there was always a fine line that you never crossed by being civil to other posters..... can we return to that position please mate
I won't ever be a proper Charlton fan, but here goes. I've drowned my sorrows and finally chipped up to post. I Want to keep the powder dry until midnight Friday, but I can't. Forgive me. I really want Chris Powell to succeed. He's my favourite Cafc player ever, with Monsieur Yann not far behind. Im one of the younger ones here. But I fear that this is the end of an era. Im officially biased towards SCP cos of the reasons stated. But the lack of faith from RD convinces me that a clear out is coming. I'm trying to figure out how RD can make a quick buck by us being in L1. I sincerely hope I'm just a melodramatic drunkard
I find it hard to imagine CP knew nothing about this. We all saw this possibility looming, so where was CP? If it has happened behind his back, it speaks volumes about his position. Richard Murray or someone up top must have to approve this sort of thing, and they don't tell the manager? Surely he should be the first to know, so as to get a replacement in place, or is the unknown Iranian the solution to all our woes? Apart from this dismal scenario, the transfer itself is a bugger. Yann fits in to our framework, and there's no guarantee a new face or even two, would fit in (look how well Church and Sordell have done up front). If Yann wanted more money than we were willing to pay, fair play that he moved on, but selling to a potential relegation rival smacks of madness to me. A lot of words have been written blaming the old or new regime, but the new crowd could have paid Yann if they saw it as a priority, and they clearly saw his demands as excessive, not met the offer from the Cherries, and Yann moves on. Richard Cawley was saying there would be movement at the Valley this week. I hope the new guy, Ghocci (!?!) fits in and scores a hatfull, but at the momento, he's just another lost soul Liege can't fit in to their starting line up. There are question marks hanging over Wiggo and Stephens, and no new signings that any of us concievably wanted. It's a bleak look out. There may be good news in the tube, but at the momento there are lots of reasons to worry, and none so far to think we'll have a smooth next six months, let alone the future.
I am absolutely deverstated that Yann is off, but given that people on here said he was going over a week ago and that everybody who went to Donny swore blind that he came over to say goodbye, given his reputed relationship with Powell, I don't believe tha manager knew nothing. I believe there was nothing he could do about it, but not that he didn't know. I am not a fan of the Standard 'B' thing that is apparently going on, but I can't see how RD thinks he'll make money out of our relegation. As fans we can only wait and see, I think it could be a long and painful wait but it would be great if we could not tear each other apart while we're waiting.
Cant agree with this, the stats may be so, but ultimately a fit and firing kermo is what we need to hold onto.
