Sarri should have done one of three things Asked the ref to send him off & replaced another player for Cabbelero (sp). Walked in the pitch & twatted him causing them both to be sent off & then replacing another player for Cabbelero. Carried on walking & addressed the issue honestly & frankly in the press tomorrow
And now he's backtracking saying that he didn't understand until the medical people spoke to him. Disgrace. I know he's not a top drawer manager, but today as HT said, football hit a new low... FFS this goalkeeper seemed to cramp up twice. How far had he run the entire game!!!!!!
Chelsea stand to lose a load of money after this episode. Paid a fortune for this keeper. Won't get anywhere near that amount after this show of insubordination. No-one wants a disruptive influence/trouble maker in their squad, however talented they may be. This lad will not be getting such a lucrative contract ever again. But then again - this is the oft surreal business of football ! Fergie would have tossed a heavy-duty tumble dryer at him, let alone a hair-dryer.
I once refused to leave the pitch when my mother said tea was ready. Father ensured it didn't happen a second time.
There are obviously serious problems in the Chelsea dressing room. They just keep getting managers sacked. If I'd of been the captain I'd of dragged him off the pitch.
Difference is that no player would've dared act like that with a manager they respect, never mind with Fergie. As it is Sarri is a dead man walking and is a hell of a lot cheaper for Chelsea to get rid of him then to try sell Kepa for a cut price. Player power at that club is horrific, 3 managers now all look to be going the same way with colossal turds downing tools, entire squad needs a massive turnover. Says a lot today that none of the other ****houses on the pitch did anything, can't stand the prick, but if Terry was still playing for Chelsea he'd have had him off the pitch.
**** of the absolute highest order. The fact he ****ed up saving Aguero's penalty made it so sweet to watch. Karma's a bitch. Chelsea is ****ing rotten inside and out. I kinda feel sorry for Sarri.
Heard Terry was in the stands today kit under his clothes, ready to run on for the team pix if CFC won.
You're right, regardless of the manager's quality/ability, or even his personality, the player should himself be showing some professionalism. His action brings a great deal of discredit to the club as a whole, and the player himself specifically. Chelsea may well be getting rid of a lame-duck manager anyway, but now will be forced to keep hold of the keeper anyway as he's tarnished himself and lopped off a high percentage off his resale value as a result of his crass action. No self respecting club with a desire to maintain credibility as a "well run, team oriented" operation will want to touch him with a barge-pole. From what I heard, Zola tried to get him off the pitch as well, but the self-important player still refused. To me, that is absolute insubordination. The scuttle is that Terry was seen fuming at the player's antics. As far as Luiz is concerned, if he was trying to persuade Kepa to stay on the pitch, which it certainly looks like he was ( I may be jumping to conclusions however), then his character is flawed too. The other Chelsea players were probably too scared to get heavily involved understandably.
they've come to an agreement that it was a misunderstanding with the keeper believing he was being taken off due to the cramp he'd just been treated for.
Your pa was thinking of your fitness and potential future glory when he told your ma to delay tea in the future then ? Well done dad
