FSG on the otherhand do have the money Mourinho needs.I wouldn' mind seeing him in the dug-out when Kenny retires after leading Liverpool to the title.
I'd hate to see Mourinho at liverpool now! I'd much rather Kenny establish the boot room again and we get Carragher as our next manager.
I think Benitez could win them the Champions League to be honest, depending on whether they strengthen again in the summer. I think Chelsea need to figure out where their next geenration of players is going to come from, but there's enough winners there that i think Benitez could get a season or 2 out of them. Can you just imagine it? Lampard being interviewed around November singing Rafa's praises?! As for Utd, i don't think you can write them off just because they'll have a new manager, but it will be a tough challenge. It is Ferguson's club down to every detail, and as much as the quality of players grinding out results this season, i think it's the mentality and style he's created that is as much to credit. How can somebody take the reigns and keep things going? I think Hiddink would be great to oversee a transition for maybe 5 years at which point they could think about who will build their next dynasty.
I'd also like the bootroom re-established. I also think Kenny should be there for at least a couple of years, and NO WAY would I ever want maureen to be our manager. Like someone said earlier in this thread he leaves a trail of destruction behind him. Spends all the money then ****s off. We don't want a quick flash in the pan couple of seasons. We need a system that is sustainable for the future and maureen is not the person to bring that to Liverpool.
Jose wont take on a broke club, he wants good players and cash to build his team. it is what he does, even at porto he had a fantastic squad, UNited are losing VDS Giggs Scholes, players significantly responsible for their league position, add to this Evans Oshea Evra Brown Gibson Carrick Berba Anderson Bebe, not the type of players Jose will want either. United fans just hope he takes te job as much as they have criticised him at Chelsea and his type of fooball, becase he wins, and to United fans winning by any means is what matters, I'd rather not seethat type of football at home every week even if it did work against Barca it is dull as feck. Jose wont take over a broke club with no squad and never has done
If history is anything to go by.Mourinho wouldn't last pissing time at United. They once sacked a manager for playing dull football even though he got them to their highest league position in 13 years. When he was sacked in 1981,He had them on 7 game winning run.Dave Sexton anyone? It was effective, functional, but incredibly boring.A little bit like the way Mourinho sets teams up.
I can't see him going there unless they guarantee him a couple of hundred million to spend on players. That won't happen when the Glazers have so much debt in the States.
