There's a bit more to it than that though. Last year I personally think Liverpool under achieved pretty badly for a wide variety of reasons and I would say many of those (unpopular owners, turmoil in the boardroom, unprecedented fan unrest, new manager who was out of his depth, replacement manager then coming in and having to put a lot of things right) have now been addressed. Dalglish now has more or less his own side which he has seriously strengthened and is starting afresh. He laso knows exactly what is expected by the supporters and what it takes to achieve success. He's a natural winner. As I said, I just think they're in a great position to be challenging seriously this year. By contrast I don't really see what EWverton have done to move forward.

I don't support either team (I'm actually a watford fan) so have no axe to grind but I read an article on Dalglish this morning which i thought was pretty decent and having read this thread thought i'd offer an opinion.

Chippy minton i would agree in part, last season was the most traumatic of liverpools history in a footballing sense, they battled through and have now seen the light at the end of the tunnel, whether that can transform to a title challenge this year i just dont think so, like kenny said getting from 6th to 4th is a big jump getting from 6th to first is a huge jump, he said this before he signed his contract btw. will be an intresting season thats for sure and am looking forward to seeing suarez of all the liverpool players on offer.

in terms of everton we vastly under achieved last season too, we lack a little depth but depth really doesnt need to come into it when your not in europe, we have a very solid squad may not be full of flashy names but as united have proved u dont need that just a solid team effort, we always let ourselves down at the start of the season and should that change i would back us to challenge for that 4th spot too, we desperatly need a striker though which doesnt look forthcoming, if we could spend £15 on one im sure we would mix things up a little more than we currently do, my aim is 5th this season but i shudnt think we will finish less than 8th.

I have a soft spot for watford since my time as manager on fm08 ha got u all the way to champions league winners and a staute now graces the outskirts of your ground u should check it out hahaha.

Just before you do Ze Liverbird. I'd like to reply to AEP:

No I'm not a psychologist, however, if you study mamangement for as long as I have then you have to build up a good knowlege of psychology - both of groups and of individuals. But then you would not have commented if you did not know that I was close to the mark - think about it!.

BTW I have NEVER watched CSI

Not sure of the need to close it, I agree with Bozz that pat is mostly harmless. And if you get closed for talking bollocks then most of us would get it at some point.

Foredeckdave well your clearly way off the mark, but whatever you say, this gets me thru the dullness of my job nothing more nothing less, but the fact your basing this on an incorrect assumption on your opening comment i feel for you, this is no wind up as has clearly been stated, have i mocked anyone for their answers, infact no the complete opposite, i have respected people views and applauded their honesty, those of whom have interacted in a positve way to the thread.

plus reddit is having a slow day otherwise i would be their, check it out if youve not heard of it probably the best website on the internet bar non.

It wasn't me that ruined it,was was interfering nitwits that decided to nit pick over every word said.I am 100% sure they have interpreted it as Kenny saying ''This is our year'' which is further from the truth.

The mere fact that you have to keep re-justifying yourself compounds the truth. YOU are the only person on this thread who does not recognise you for what you are.

But it's a way of passing the time.

BTW IF your work is so spectacularly unfullfilling then find another job.

Foredeckdave really so its against my own intrest to not only stick up for myself but explain myself? what a bizarre logic to use as such a premise, you accuse me of something do you just expect me to lie down and just accept it, your not in my head you dont know my thoughts or motivation so while you sit behind your pc making such false assumptions i giggle at the lack of plausibility in your argument.

if you took a moment to analyse in such depth my responses to comments posted you will see im not winding anyone up (other than you it seems - totally unintentional) i just wanted peoples views, and the majority have been kind enough to respond as such.

jobs a job these days i should know i find people them and its getting even harder not easier.

I certainly would not welcome the prospect of being in your head. However, I do have the evidence of both this and previous posts with which to work. From those, it is clear that you find it amusing to present tangentle points in such a way as to provoke response. Such behaviour is rather childlike. Therefore when a supposed adult makes the concious decision to continually use the paractice whilst still protesting their innocense you are left to question their motivations.

If you are not satisfied with your job then change it. The fact that jobs are scarce does not mean that you have to continue with your present one if you are not obtaining satisfaction from it.
