Never gonna win **** all?

So we're always going to win something? Not sure i agree but thanks for the vote of confidence Suarez's Tezzies, that's very gracious of you.

PS : Don't insult people with double negatives, it just makes you sound thick and makes the exact opposite point to the one you're intending.

I'll be the dissenting voice here. I think they will improve significantly next season. I think they do have good players. They also have some very good young talent. I also think Kenny was a fine manager in the 90's. He was unlucky with us because the costs needing to be reduced, did well with Liverpool and Blackburn. I just think his tactics look a little stale. Of course that could just be that they are a developing side. The americans have put huge pressure on the him, the players and the club in general with their crazy transfer market activity. What they were thinking I'm not sure. They have been in transition this season like Arsenal and Chelsea. Those teams have coped better with it than they have and they desperately need to win the FA Cup now (good for us).

He did manage to win the league and cup double and the league a few times and the premier league with Blackburn. So he can't be that bad. I remember reading that Shearer wasn't happy playing with Ginola because he wouldn't cross the ball first time but fannied on with it too much. Was that wrong?

Yes that was wrong. Shearer loved playing with Ginola. He and others were sold on the instruction of the board or because they wanted to leave. In Ginolas case London was calling. KK had the wages completely out of control for the boards liking. Dalglish actually did a hell of a lot of good for this football club but some are too blind to see it. The blue chip brigade under Robson contained Given, Speed, Solano, Shearer. Three of those were signed by Dalglish. He signed bad ones aswell like all managers but in the main did a good job on a restricted budget. I think his net spend at the end of his tenure worked out at something like 5m a season. Compare that with what had gone before and how much the wages came down, he did well. He also got the youth and reserve teams back up and running. The likes of Krul, Saylor and the myriad of young players we see now are benefitting from something he put in place. It takes time to build something that will last. He was never gonna get that time because the fans had grown used to the good times under KK. We needed to rebuild the club from top to bottom.
