Bows out after losing 25-5 at the National Finals to Joe Ward in Dublin.

Former Olympic silver medalist Egan lost to 19 year old Ward for the third year in a row announced his retirement in the ring and got an emotional 3 minute standing ovation.

Fair play to Egan. Going out giving it a whirl against an absolute monster of a boy. Strong as an ox.

Katie Taylor is now knocking the piss out of some poor Polish girl.
