Motty,"On a final note Sir Alex your team were beaten today just as they were on your first visit here as Utd manager, would you say you now have the ability to talk more sense than a baby?"

Fergie,"Look, the referee was'nt fit to handle the match, their four goals were miles offside,we had 15 nailed on penalty claims turned down, the hostile crowd influenced the officials,Kenny's hand signals were beyond the pail, the referee only played 10 minutes injury time, what happened to the other 15?,Nemanja was only trying to clear the ball and Saurez just happened to in between when he volleyed it,Wayne was'nt swearing when he uttered those words into the TV camera he was only reciting a Latin poem he learned at school in Croxteth, and by the way the best team lost."

Motty,"So I'll take that as a no then Sir Alex."

Yeah thanks for that Dave. I'm aware it could happen although my question to him was whether he thinks they will ?

Alot of Liverpool fans seem to be getting very excited about this game with a supposed 'non-entity'. United fans are aswell we are just not silly enough to pretend Liverpool are a non entity.

As for KPR- it may not be the cup final for most Liverpool fans but for you, well, it the FA cup final, world cup final, and CL final all rolled into one - who are you trying to kid ?

Eric, we both know that this match has always excieted fans of both sides and long may that be the case.

What I was trying to get across is that for this season, we are targetting an improvement upon last seasons performance and building a squad base. In this respect, we are not targetting any particular club. Hence our focus is not upon United (except for the game in hand).

However, I do have to make an amazing announcement: I AM NOT KPR. This match is important but it is nowhere near the definitive match of our season.

No bloody ticket now. Found out last night. There are two locals where I live. One is heavily manc biased, and frequented by thugs of that nature. Thankfully, the other one has just got personal Sky piped through to the drinking area, so I should avoid a kicking. £2 a pint and free sausage and chips. Not The Kop, but it'll have to do <ok>

Its a fact that a victory for Utd in this fixture is just as pleasing and as "big" to their fans as it is to us and ours and in some ways it is an unofficial regional "cup final",Utd have always taken this fixture seriously both before and during Fergies time in charge.

Its the first fixture i look for every season and the blueshite fixture comes a close second, maybe its different for some fans of both clubs that are'nt local and thats their choice,I know it burns the Chavs and the Leeds fans heads out but most fans of Utd that are locals still see this fixture as the biggest domestically(although the City fixture is pushing it close from a Manc point of view).

I'm not doubting it is a big fixture, I know it is ( see my repsonse to Dave ).

The cup final dig was at KPR who claims it's not whilst at the same time including United in 99% of his posts. For me the united v Liverpool game it bigger than the Citeh game

Closely followed by the sound of the screeching tyres of UIR's getaway car with the still smoking gun on the passenger seat.

I've watched both sides a few times this season and Liverpool were poor against Sunderland, and haven't exactly set the world alight have they - Man Utd, at the best of their ability, hammered Arsenal 8-2 - how is it utter bollocks? Utd are unbeaten and Liverpool got beaten by Stoke (the only team Sunderland have magaed to beat this season) - it is only my opinion lads but you have to say from the games so far this season Man Utd have been much better than Liverpool

With a bit of luck that diving bastard suarez will get sent off for simuilation or something - Rate him so highly as a footballer but detest the way he goes on when on the pitch - makes Ronaldo look like he stays on his feet all the time!!

Liverpool vs Manchester United form is usually out of the window. There is no doubt Manchester United are playing well, but I believe they are going to lose
their first game of the season on Saturday.<ok>

iverpool will stop Man United from playing<doh>
Barcelona did it in the CL final. What are Liverpool supposed to do let them play, because Fergie said so? Sorry if you believe that you are a moron. Liverpool will pack their midfield in order to exploit the chink in Man Uniteds armour, their erm lack of a central midfield, thus doing so will protect their back four and put pressure on Man Uniteds back four.

Did it ever cross your mind that liverpool are not barcelona. They are as far away from Barcelona as you can get.

Just because barcelona can do it doesnt mean Liverpool can. Arsenal used to think that and they have been dire for 6 years now.

Let me remind you of something sonny...Liverpool did exactly that in March and bounced Man U all over the pitch.

    As for the post-match interview.
John Motson. Well Alex what cost you the game?
Fergie. The FA cost us the game, they wouldn't let us use our star player, he always makes a difference in these games and is a fantastic player.
John Motson. Alex, you may be forgetting something, Javier Hernandez was on the pitch.
Fergie. I'm not talking about Hernandez you idiot, I'm refering to Howard Webb.
