Answer this - are we still at risk of relegation? I'd say yes. I can't really see us being caught now but Leicester got out of a hole last season and the Mackems are perennial Houdinis aren't they? So whilst it's mathematically possible to be relegated I'd rather not experiment thank you very much. Once we're DEFINITELY safe then fair enough.

Gorre and Jones both looked very good in that game. If either get thrown in and we win games it'll be 'well done lads' but if we start a run of losing games whilst others start to win it's going to hit the fan. For me there's too much at stake to **** about. <ok>

Strangely enough I've been feeling apprehensive about the Chelsea game on Saturday but all of a sudden today I feel we can get a point which will definitely make us safe. It may be the adrenalin is starting to flow because we're getting nearer to Saturday.
Same , I'm thinking we could actually win , can't put my finger on it but a bit of sudden confidence has burst through pessimism I first thought . 2-1 Swans .Both goals by Palschi .

There won't be any cup games for the first team this season so I would like to see Gorre on the bench from now until the end of the season with the hope he can get some game time with a view to playing a bigger part next season.

True Nos, but I'd still like to be absolutely sure before he's added to the mix. When mathematically safe I'd like to see more of Barrow, Montero, Fulton, Kingsley, Gorre and Jones (young striker), rest Ash ready for Euros, make Roultedge or Leon captain in his absence and, obviously, drop Gomis entirely to make room on the bench. Shame Amat is injured again.

I think the guy has massive potential, which he should have been fulfilling before now. He is 22 in September so he isn't that young in footballing terms and is not progressing as Fulton and Kingsley have. He does look good in the U21's but it is the U21's where a lot of teams are playing 17 and 18 year olds unless it is a big game. He went out on loan at Den Haag and made 5 appearances and did not set the world alight.

Potentially he looks like he could go on to good things, but would have expected him to have progressed a little quicker, but unless they try him, Who knows?

I totally agree with Stumpy though. It's easy to get complacent and this has been the weirdest season ever for the Prem with a few twists yet I think. There is is simply too much at stake to **** this up guys. I'm excited about Gorre and Jones and hope they get their chance before season's end.

Safe or not, we should have done this 6-8 games ago.

the way gomis has been playing this season its not such a big risk to have him on the bench instead he is quick and unpredictable whereas gomis is slow and cumbersome when I played senior league I know which one I wouldn't have liked to mark.

Don't need to mark Gomis as a defender, he does the job for them and stands offside :)

I would make room on the bench for him and maybe another the manager might want to look at .
Give them some minutes as good opportunity arise .
A lot can be learnt and taught , coming down the stretch ,for the young and hungry.
Gomis wouldn't even make the bench from here for me .
Might give Amat another game .
Naughton and Kingsley would start the rest of the way for me .
Same with Fer , I'd be taking a strong look at him the last 5 games to help with a decision to bid on him or not .

I think kenji is gonna be called up to the first team come next season. I've also heard that montero is likely to leave in the summer because he is struggling with the weather here apparently. I hope not but the guy who told me has good connections to the players.

If that's true we better get the best out of Montero the last 5 games to make him more presentable to the market .
Bit sadden about that , he sure didn't get many breaks since Monk left . Hoping for 8 million if he goes in the summer .

Ye! Hopefully we can give him a run out to assess if he's ready or not. If not maybe a loan to the championship for 6 months like Barrow will do him good.

I would play some of the U21's now and give them a taste of first team football as a reward for having a brilliant season....No harm can be done now and it gives the opportunity to see how they cope against some big sides.....

Scored 2 and laid on the other one in 3-1 win against Fulham's under 21's today, last match of the season and now play Villa's under 21's in play offs.
