To be fair to Mr Bates, I commend any businesses trying to evade the horrendous tax rates in this country. Good business sense running a football club and saving money. Shame none of it ever seems to reappear.
 
frauding the Govt. out of 7.7 million is not good business sense,
there are people like our troops, OAPs, unemployed, Desperate for that kind of money,<ok>
dont you think Bates has enough,,without robbing these people,How can you possibly defend it,? ok innocent unless proven guilty but if he is found out to have done this,,,then shoot the little ****er thats what i say,,,,,

He's avoiding robbery, not partaking in it. I guess this could get political. I'll put my tin hat on.

if he has frauded the Govt. when we have troops, and elderly dying in battle or in desperation then not fine <yikes>
 
I guess the decision on whether he's totally fleecing us will come at the end of next season. It looks like he has but we do have a huge hotel to finance and he might splash out yet this summer.

As for tax, I just consider it the same as any other common extortion of money. The fact the government's created a dependency culture and entangled itself in horrid wars is a bad thing but not something that I like to see financed. Can see this being an unpopular view. <laugh>

And as for a tax burden robbing our soldiers,when millwall take their 200 or so fans to away games.The trouble that they get into for such a small group causes a massive police presence at every game,thus costing US tax payers thousands if not millions every season.

I won't call for millwall to be thrown out of the league and the fans thrown in prison as i don't want to overreact.<ok>

Leeds turnover 27million.vat on that 5.4million.
Leeds wages 12.3million,40% paye on that 4.92million.
TOTAL TAX PAID 10.32MILLION paid last year alone.
