The plot thickens!

 

BBC have just reported that the FL have confirmed they will not consider any new bids at such a late stage. So maybe they have seen through this last minute bid already, as it seems to be a Just a ploy by portpin.

 

The Football League have said they will not consider any new bids as it will unsettle the PST bid, so it's trust or bust.

 

If you haven't heard it already, you should check out Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of the War of the Worlds. It's very good and you won't have had to have read the book, and in the context of the story line, the song I referenced is particularly full of both hope and despair, you'd love it.
