"The Tigers have signed goalkeeper Trevor Carson on loan from Sunderland on a month-long deal, pending clearance from The Football League."
When I first read it did say season long Makes more sense with it just been a month will give Basso and Gulacsi the time off they need and won't leave us with four senior keepers when they have recovered
We've also got Rob Peet from Grimsby as well.. Oxley's got a dodgy back and Joe Cracknell I don't know what they make of him..
It's no lose really, give him a month by which point we will know more about the fitness of gulacsi and basso and if he impresses extend it, if he doesn't then let him go back.
Don't know what to make of Rob Peet, he was handed a trial at Manchester Untited last year and we picked him up after Grimsby decided to release him. I'd assume they rate Peet better then Cracknell since he made the bench ahead of him. When he gets fit we could do with trying to shift Oxley on loan
Yeah - I read it as 'season' when I first saw it. Still, as you say, it covers us but leaves us without a team of 'keepers, when B & G are fit again (if!)
there's a young lad called Rory Watson who is sub for the Juniors who looks handy as well. saw him turn out for the ressies and he was good! Mature beyond his age for sure
