A return of seven points from three games including two away trips represents the type of start any team in any division would find highly satisfactory. A lot has been made about conceding the late goal but when you are away from home holding onto a slender lead it's always tough to withstand the onslaught from the home team.

I have read some of the ridiculous detrimental comments on other forums about the manager and certain players with disbelief. The team have made a good, solid start and there's really no reason for criticism at this stage. Things are tough with only Danny Kedwell starting up front but Hess has already acknowledged this problem and is trying to rectify it. Don't forget we must have spent a fortune in league 2 terms this summer and recruiting a quality striker is going to be a tricky financial balancing act.

A strong performance at home on saturday will leave us in really good shape but there will always be hiccups along the way. After three games last year I think we only had the one point after all.
 
Gills79 - I totally agree, we would quite happily have taken 7 points out of 3 games at the beginning of the season, especially when it took us 8 games last season to be in this same position.

As for some comments in regards to players, I think it's uncalled for, what worries me is you can guarantee come Saturday at 5pm, if we lose to Plymouth (which hopefully we don't) the scare mongers will be out in full force.

I certainly would not have predicted that Plymouth would be sitting in the bottom 3, maybe their having the same welcome to League Two football, that we had last season. Let's bear something in mind though, at some point they are going to turn that corner and improve, hopefully not at Priestfield though.

in a short but sweet way, gutted to not get three points right at the end, but seven out of nine so far...we can not complain.

very happy with the way the team are performing on the pitch.

when we sort out striker & left winger...happy days!!!

As I said in a different thread, this start added to last season would have got us promoted. We were poo until the away win at Oxford.

A good guide was our performance at Brighton who are doing rather well in the Championship. 9/9 points including a good away win at Cardiff last night (3-1).

So.........onwards and upwards.
 
Definitely proud of our performances so far (if not the number of cards - but even that improved on Tues night).

7 from 3 and 3rd in the table. Happy days! And it looks like the 'away jinx' or whatever it was is well and truely in the past.

While the free kick conceeded was rubbish, at least we're scoring the goals up the other end!
