I think while KM got his selection wrong on Saturday the rot goes a lot worse than that. It's back to a basic fault with how we scout and train players at AG. For example Elliot = good mf player because he can win headers and 'give 100%'. The fact that he has worse control and passing than most U12's is ignored.

We don't have the money to bankroll our way to the PL like Leicester are attempting. We need to go back to basics and really focus on the academy producing players that are comfortable in possession of the ball and actually have some technical ability.

A shift in emphasis is required without getting on player's backs if they try to keep the ball. Sometimes yesterday it was laughable how quickly we tried getting the ball forward. KM needs to have a word and say explain there is nothing wrong with passing sideways or backwards as long as it keeps the ball moving and we stay in possession. Kilkenny looked like he will do this, dropped deeper and moved to give the defence an option other than the long ball. Our other CM players need to learn fast or get booted out.

A midfield three would be my preference:-

Kilkenny
Cisse JCR

JCR is not a left winger by any stretch but his control, technical ability and passing are very good. Worth a shot at being our more attacking midfielder as he commits players and has very good movement. Those three in CM should hopefully help us keep the ball for longer and not gift the opposition the ball as regularly.

And if they don't have the ball, they can't score against us. Can they...?
