Let's get this straight, Stanley. I'm not jealous of QPR's money, just acknowledging that it's there. I doubt that any Swans' fan is either. We are pretty proud of the fact that we've got where we are WITHOUT any financial backing. We are one of the very few clubs who are solvent and not in hock to the whim of any individual(s) who might withdraw his backing at any time and leave us up that proverbial creek. We are part owned by our supporters trust and have no intention whatsoever of going down that rocky road by over spending and trying to buy our success in the Premier League. We know damn well that we could improve our team out of all proportion by inviting investors in. Make no mistake, we would be an attractive proposition for any investor. As I said we are totally solvent so there are no debts to pay off - any investment would go straight into our infrastructure; players, ground expansion, Academy, etc etc. But you know what? We are happy as we are. We don't want to hock our club to any investor and, if you choose to trawl our board, you will find threads on this very subject where the overwhelming consensus of opinion is to continue exactly as we are - even if that means relegation to the Championship. Jealous? I don't think so!

Hey Joey,I see you are playing up again,showing your ignorance. As has been already pointed out to you,the "Swansealona" tag was awarded by people "in the know". People whose opinions are respected. The followers of Swansea City are, of course,flattered with the comparison,but are fully aware that we are not really Barcelona. We will,of course,accept the complimentary comparison,and enjoy it whilst it lasts. I'm sure that you,and your fellow QPR followers would be equally thrilled if your Club were compared with,say,Brentford. That starts with a B,as well,so you should be very satisfied with that. I doubt,however,that the good people who follow Brentford would be too thrilled with the comparison.
For the benefit of any QPR fans, and in trying to clear this lengthy "debate" up, at the beginning of the season we (Swans fans) took a LOT of stick from lots of fans of various clubs, about how we were "daring to play in the English Premier League" - for geographical reasons. Out of all of these fans, the worst, and most repeated offenders, were, sadly for your sakes, QPR fans. Everyone knows not every single fan of a certain club is a dickhead, and even when the strongest opinions are voiced on here it's still just that, an opinion. This wasn't just a thread out of nothing, we took a lot of stick earlier in the season so a thread on our board, while not expected by me, certainly doesn't surprise me and people are entitled to have their own views on other clubs. We all know there are perfectly reasonable fans on both sides of every fence, but we are free to form our own opinions about over which fences lie hoards of idiots!
