I don't know if someone has already mentioned this but this does seem to fit with the sudden sea change in the interviews with Nick about 6/8 weeks ago. Up until that time he had appeared increasingly irritated during interviews after January, especially when questioned about why he hadn't brought a new striker in and of course there was the spat with a supporter at a home game. Then suddenly it all changed, he started talking about needing to add to the squad and that he hoped the owners shared his ambition for the club etc. It just makes you wonder what brought that about. Did he suddenly realise he'd had enough of being the patsy and wanted to call the owner's bluff or did someone else suggest it. We'll probably never know but whichever it was, unfortunately it's backfired pretty spectacularly. I really can't see any kind of satisfactory outcome to this situation and like most others, I suspect that the squad that was very close to being one of the best we've had in my 43 years as a Tigers supporter is going to be dismantled over the summer!
