very good for growing cannabis. or so my friends in the US that grow it for "medicinal purposes" tell me.
the pitch isn't great but its a whole lot better than pitches used to be a few years ago. The technology is available to make it better but who will bear the cost? It's one of the problems when you lease a stadium, you don't have control of all aspects of the maintenance and upkeep.
You should have been around in the 60's 70's and early 80's.Now those pitches were a disgrace. The kC is rough Yes but playable. But i agree its nowhere near what the BP snooker table pitch used to be like. KC should be shut down whilst a new pitch is grown. 2 weeks these days aint it to grow a new pitch.
If we can play good football on the KC pitch it only bodes well for when we play at Wembley in May as that pitch is always awful
I did see the pitches first hand in the late 70's/80,s. Aside from going with my mate to BP, my dad took me to watch Nottingham Forest during the glory years. The City Grounds pitch was like a battle ground, only Forest could play on it, I watched countless European sides just get stuck in the mud. In fact they reckoned Cloughie used to have the pitch watered to make it worse But hey footballs moved on, technology's moved on, so should the standard of our stadium. If the Numpties in the council can't keep Mr Allam passified then when he builds the new stadia at Melton hopefully he'll he the light right, mind you without the egg chasers that shouldn't be an issue
See Cairney is unhappy about the pitch - a tweet from him yesterday "Should of won tonight really someone needs to do something about our pitch wowza #bobblecity!!"
What do you mean we won? 0-0 insn't a win. If City had had a goal scorer for the last ten games they would be up with the top two today. People are entitled to complain when they can see City need a goal scorer,Fryatts OK but he came with a reputation of having long blank periods. I'm only sorry the management don't recognise that. NB is trying to give them confidence with his remarks. ( I hope)
Not the best image of the actual pitch but you can sort of see it. Took the photo last night second half.
Just looks like a mud pitch with a bit of grass around the outside from that view ^^^. When you see it on tv I think it looks even worse. Who would be in control of looking after the pitch Allam's (Hull City) or would it be SMC? Would the pitch be taken better care of if the Allam's owned the ground and were wanting to invest in heating lamps etc to improve the pitch? or I am not on the right track?
I think it's the recent weather and the start of the Rugby season which has caused it, sure it will get better.
