Its my understanding that Alan Kings Katchit has had to be put down due to a bout of colic.
 
Sad to hear, had the heart of a lion. Will always have fond memories of the horse after 2 gutsy festival wins, granted his Champion Hurdle win may have in a sub standard year, but you still need to win it regardless of the competition
 
This is terrible news. one of the most courageous horses of the modern era. And also one of my favorite horses ever. RIP <peacedove>
 
Very sad to hear this, a tenacious little thing who often ran above expectations and did his connections proud. Sad loss.

As has already been stated a heart much bigger than your average horse.
